Houston Middle School Tech Lab teacher Brandi Fisher (holding trophy) got a surprise visit  on Tuesday morning from Devon Energy Corporation representatives who presented her with a $15,000 check. Fisher wrote a proposal that was a first place winner in the company’s Ingenuity Stem Grant program. Click on the photo for more information.

Broadmoor Elementary School was named a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School award winner on Monday. It was the only public school in New Mexico to earn the honor this year and is the first National Blue Ribbon school in Hobbs history. U
