Jefferson students got an unexpected treat Thursday when Luis Hermosillo, father of kindergarten student Efrain Hermosillo, circled the school playground in a parachute, then landed on the field with smoke billowing from his shoes.

 playday   Students all over Hobbs were out of the classroom and on the field as they celebrated Playday this week. Enjoying the festivities while catching some bouncy ball air at BTW on Thursday was Grace Johnson Lara while Raquel Chavez was at Coronado mastering the art of running with a Hula Hoop. The last day of school is Friday. 
Taylor Title I paraprofessional Tammy Hartman takes a pie in the kisser from a gleeful N'Kya White while classmates look on appreciatively. Taylor teachers spent a portion of Wednesday getting walloped as a way to raise money for the Jump Rope for Heart fund. Click on the picture for more.
