BTW kindergartners celebrated notable figures in Black history - including Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln and President Barack Obama - during a musical program at the school on Feb 25.


Hobbs was in triple figures whne the Eagles beat Alamogordo 108-84 on Feb. 25 to advance to the district championship game in Carlsbad.


The Lady Eagles struggled, but pulled out the semifinal win against Alamogordo in the Feb. 24 district tournament.


Hobbs High School and Freshman High School students were in Soccoro on Feb. 20 for the state champion Science Olympiad competition. Jarred McGraw and Briton Dunn won the bridge building competition and lead HHS to a fifth-place finish.


The Eagles suffered a disappointing loss to Carlsbad on Feb. 19, the first in Tasker Arena in 30 years.

Freshman High students celebrated their twin border conference championships during a Feb. 18 pep rally.


Hobbs had eight wrestlers who earned medals - including district champion Noel Velasquez - during the district tournament on Feb. 13 at Tasker Arena.


It was a bittersweet  Senior Night on Feb. 12 when the Lady Eagles took Clovis to overtime, then prevailed.


HHS boys and girls tennis was in action at home for the first time of the season on Feb. 12.

NDIAfter spending two weeks rehearsing with the National Dance Institute, fourth-graders from Jefferson, Broadmoor, Taylor and College Lane and BTW kindergartners were on stage Feb. 12.


The Freshman High School boys and girls teams celebrated double victories on Feb. 8 by marching through the halls of school after winning border conference championships over the weekend.

The Lady Eagles fell short against Carlsbad on Feb. 5, losing 32-26.


Football player and wrestler Caleb Beaird showed off his versatility during a vocal performance on Feb. 4 in the annual Golden Revue performance.
