Anna Palma

palmaHobbs schools is proud to introduce its new teachers to our community. Look for a profile on a new instructor here on a regular basis.

I am Anna Palma and I teach physical education at Edison Elementary.

I grew up in Hobbs, graduated from Hobbs High School and later from New Mexico Junior College and University of the Southwest.

The reason I want to teach is I knew this was one of the best ways to be a positive influence on our kids for generations to come.

My favorite memory from my own days in school is marching band! I absolutely loved it whether we were having to be there as early as 6 am to start learning our new formations or running laps on the track or running up the stadium stairs with our instruments. It was a total blast. I would say those were the best years of my life. If I could go back and do it again, I definitely would.

In my spare time I enjoy working out and playing soccer. I also have clients I train in the gym in my spare time.

My favorite book is Searching For A Sunday. Rachel Held Evans is great with her words. She embarks on a quest to what it is to be part of the Church.
