Kristin Robison

Hobbs schools is proud to introduce its new teachers to our community. Look for a profile on a new instructor here on a regular basis.

I am Kristin Robison and I teach special education at Hobbs High School.

I grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Southwest Secondary Learning Center, the first charter school in the state. I later graduated from the University of New Mexico.

The reason I want to teach is because I have an autistic ten year old. I want to learn more about his condition. I also feel like I am helping someone that really could use the help. I want to feel needed.

My favorite memory from my own days in school is when I was in my senior year of high school and I was able to represent my school in the nightly news and in the newspaper. I was also valedictorian of my class and I graduated with honors.

In my spare time I like to tube, raft, swim, bike, run and go to Cliff’s amusement park with my kids.

My favorite books are Catcher in the Rye and The Old Man and the Sea.
