footballThe Freshman High School football team wrapped up their undefeated season on Oct. 18 with a 48-0 blowout over Lovington. At 10-0, the team was the first undefeated one in Freshman High School history.

cross countryThe girls Cross Country team placed third at the Hobbs meet held at Ocotillo Park on Oct. 18 while the boys team, lead by individual champion Seraiah Pineda, won first place.

Hobbs High School overcame some technical difficulties to participate in the centennial rocket launch event with other schools across the state. Also participating were Mills, Taylor and Heizer.

dramaManuel Barron and Lauren Tinley had two of the lead roles when the Hobbs High School drama class staged Almost, Maine for its fall production Oct. 12-14.

goddardThe Lady Eagles volleyball team rallied to win the second game of a four-game match 25-21 but faltered in the other three, falling to Goddard on Oct. 4.


Ariel Lopez had one of the five goals the Lady Eagles scored against Santa Teresa as the team logged its seventh straight victory on Oct. 1.
