landrumSydnee Landrum was crowned Homecoming Queen during half-time ceremonies at the Sept. 21 football game. The coronation followed a school assembly and ride in the parade.

The Sept. 20 Homecoming Class Contest at Watson Field turned into a physical endurance test for students.

New Mexico Public Education Secretary Hanna Skandera hosted a Town Hall meeting in Hobbs on Sept. 20 at which she discussed, among other things, the state's new A-F grading system for schools.
