It was a great sunrise for our Sanger Elementary Suns as they gathered to participate in National Walk n’ Roll to School Day, where they enjoyed a cool fall morning of going to school together with their friends and families! The primary goal is to promote walking and rolling to school, helping children build healthy habits and fostering community engagement around safety.
It raises awareness for the need for safe walking and biking routes in communities and can inspire long-term initiatives, like new sidewalks and policy changes.
Thousands of schools and communities across the U.S. participate, though schools can also choose to celebrate on a different day in October or over multiple weeks.
